About Lettrio

Lettrio is made by one person, Stéphane Delecroix, an independent developer based in France. The game was released on the App Store on 16 June 2026 and on Google Play shortly after; the web daily challenge followed on 17 July 2026.

The idea

In Boggle, Ruzzle or Word Hunt the grid is fixed: after a minute the easy words are taken and you stare at letters that give nothing. Lettrio starts from one rule: played letters disappear and new ones fall in. The grid refills with every word, and every word gives seconds back. The scarce resource is no longer the grid; it is time.

Scoring pushes the same way: each extra letter doubles the word’s value (160 points for 4 letters, 2,560 for 8). A player who aims long earns time and points; a player who chains 3-letter words earns neither.

What is in the game

Time attack (60 seconds to start), a campaign of staged challenges, the daily challenge (same grid for everyone, 3 tries, also playable in the browser), duels with friends through an invite link, and a weekly leaderboard per language. Six languages, each with its own dictionary. Free, no sign-up, playable offline.
