Lettrio is a word game you can play entirely offline. This policy explains the little data we handle and when. No account is required, and we do not show ads or use third-party tracking.
Playing offline
By default you can play Lettrio without sending us anything. Your game language, your best scores and a random identifier are stored only on your device.
The online leaderboard (optional)
Lettrio offers a weekly online leaderboard. It is optional: you choose whether to take part when you first open the app, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings.
If — and only if — you take part, each finished game sends the following to our server:
- your nickname (which you can change, and which is shown publicly on the leaderboard);
- your score and the words you found in that game;
- the language you played in;
- a random, anonymous identifier created on your device so your entries can be grouped together.
We never collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts or location.
Sending feedback
If you choose to send feedback from inside the app, we receive your message and star rating together with your nickname, the anonymous identifier and your language, so we can understand and respond to your feedback.
How your data is used and shared
Leaderboard data is used only to rank players and display the weekly and all-time boards. Your nickname and score are visible to other players on the leaderboard. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Our leaderboard server is hosted on Vercel, which processes the data on our behalf to store and serve the rankings.
Data retention
Scores remain on the leaderboard to power the all-time and weekly rankings (the weekly board resets every week). You can ask us to remove your entries at any time using the contact below.
Children
Lettrio is suitable for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data, and we do not target or profile children.
Your choices
You can play fully offline by declining the leaderboard, turn participation on or off at any time in Settings, and change your public nickname whenever you like.
